Last Festivals Of The Year!

Summer 2017 has been lit for music festivals all over the United States from Bonnaroo, Coachella, Governors Ball, Hangout Fest, Lollapalooza, SXSW and more. All of these festivals had amazing highlights that have gone down as one for the books. But your chance to make festival memories is not over.

It is the end of the summer but you still have a chance to listen, vibe and turn up to some great music from your favorite artists. If you didn’t get the opportunity to attend any of the festivals mentioned, I got you!

  1. Outside Lands, I always hear good things about this festival. Maybe because it’s in The Bay (ayeeee!) because it’s definitely not the lineup. If you’re a hip-hop head like me, the only artist you’ll probably be interested in is, A Tribe Called Quest, Schoolboy Q, Solange, Action Bronson, and Kaytranada. There’s literally only four people out of all of the people that are performing that I would want to see. I don’t think it’s worth it but if I had a free ticket, of course I’d go.
  2.  AfroPunk, I’ve always wanted to go to AfroPunk in Brooklyn! They have one in Paris and in Atlanta as well, I think the Paris festival would be dope. I always see beautiful men and women with melanin poppin’, wearing great fashion, and having great vibes. AfroPunk Brooklyn usually has a good line up but I actually didn’t go this year because of the lineup. I would love to see SZA, The Cool Kids, Kaytranada, and Princess Nokia. Again, it’s not worth it but at the same time it is. Honestly, the vibes there looked so amazing and it would be a great atmosphere to just be around and to take dope pictures.
  3. Space Land Block Party, Joey Bada$$ has been pubbing this festival a lot. Joey Bada$$ is really dope so this would be a cool festival to go too. Vic Mensa is also on the lineup, so two lyrical rappers with nothing but bars is a deal. The festival is in Downtown LA so I’m thinking it would be a cool, weird, and hipster vibe. I would definitely go if I had a free ticket.
  4. Day n Night Fest, *milly rocks while typing* I’m hyped about this festival because they have an amazing line up! The festival is three days long, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You have the option of going all three days, two days or just one day. That is such a deal! The tickets are not overpriced either, so it’s definitely worth it. You have artist like, Travis Scott, YG, SZA, Dom Kennedy, Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, A Boogie with a Hoodie, and Metro Bommin’ just to name a few. It’s in LA so it’s lit, hope to see some of our readers there!
  5. iHeart Music Festival, this festival has always been a big thing. I don’t think it has ever been in Las Vegas before so that should be pretty lit. The artist that they have performing seems like one big ass party so I guess Vegas would be a perfect place to have it at. You have Miley Cyrus, P!nk, Big Sean, DJ Khaled, Coldplay, The Weekend, and David Guetta just to name a few. Per usual, Vegas will be litty that weekend. This festival is definitely a go.
  6. Last but not least! Austin City Limits. I never heard of this festival until earlier this year at SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. I’ve been told that this festival is a festival to come back for. I took the person’s word on it because Austin is a really cool city and SXSW was great this year. First of all, Jay Z is the first name on the lineup. 4:44 just came out so that would be a once in a lifetime moment to see Jay Z perform. You also have Chance the Rapper, Solange, A$AP Ferg, Ice Cube and many more. This is definitely a festival to attend.
