Did Your Show Make The Cut? The 2017 Emmy Award Nominations

On Thursday morning the 2017 Emmy Award nominations were revealed to the public.

It has been a very black year, in a good way. We have seen so much good black content with black actors from TV shows, to movies and online streaming services. Just to name a few you have "Moonlight", "Fences", "Black-ish", "Atlanta", "Insecure", "Empire", "The Get Down", "Get Out", "The New Edition Movie" and a ton more. I could literally keep going for days.

We have been gifted with feel good content that represents different genres of the black community, some we can relate to more then others and it does not involve us being slaves. Check that out y'all, we can be more than just slaves! (Even though "Underground" was bomb and truly will be missed in my line up.)

We've been lit with our presence in the entertainment world and it's about time! We deserve to see ourselves on our screens and actually relate to the people and the situations. Representation matters if not for us for the generations to come.

That's not to say every other show is trash, absolutely not true! I have to admit TV in general is giving us life with these shows, story lines, plot twists, character development and cliffhangers!

Some of my favorite shows out now are "This Is Us", "Stranger Things", and "Modern Family". I mean, wow, how do these people come up with this stuff? I wont even go into my opinions on all the shows; I just won't do it, because you'd be reading for days. But I will say all of the shows nominated are must see TV so start your Netflix and chill binging now.

Lets get into the show nominations. See if your favorites made the list below.
